I have held a number of senior positions within organisations ranging from small family owned companies with turnover less then £500k, to major multinationals with revenues exceeding £3 billion. Most of my experience to date has been leading or playing a key role within the areas of Strategic Planning, Market Analysis, Research & Segmentation, Product Development & Launches, Organisational Development, Business Needs Assessment, Change Management, Performance Improvement, Management Development and Coaching, Sales Management, including Recruitment, Policy & Planning, and Forecasting techniques. Career highlights includes Small Business Development of a family owned concern based near Ipswich developing a totally new service offering to mid to large manufacturing concerns leading sales growth from £500k to over £1 mio within 2 years. Moving to a large multinational, I identified a new technology taking it to market, due to a highly successful take up, I led the set up a pan European manufacturing, engineering and sales organisation. At the turn of the millennium I joined an organisation specialising in supply chain management to manufacturing organisations primarily within the automotive sector. Here I formulated a 5 year product & sales strategy, re-bundling the existing product offering, developing new products & service offerings. This led to the need for development of the existing organisation and management teams to align their skills and strengths to the needs of the market. Where skills gaps were identified existing staff were coached and up skilled to close the gap using outside providers as required. Where this was not possible I worked closely with HR to recruit the new skills needed. I facilitated QS9000 & TS16949 introduction and accreditation to the four plants reporting to me. Since 2006 I have worked on a freelance basis, launching a women's fashion company into the UK, project managing a major restructuring and redundancy programme for a 'Non Departmental Public Body' involving over 4,500 employees and developed a strategy for a vehicle contract hire company moving them from individual contracts into the fleet sector by building on their existing strengths and introducing new unique selling propositions to differentiate service offerings within a very saturated and competitive market
