After eight years working in the Middle East, Asia & South
East Asia for two American service related oil companies (Dubai,
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia
& Australia) I returned to New Zealand in 1987. Had a brief
stint in the then fledgling cellular phone industry until1989
when I was approached to establish the Bosch brand in NZ in relation
to their home & gas appliances division. In 2002 I took over
responsibility for both Australia and NZ as General Manager for
Bosch Home Appliances, based in Melbourne. From 1.1.2005 I was
Managing Director of BSH Home Appliances (Bosch & Siemens
Home Appliances) again responsible for both Australia and NZ.
A highlight was establishing the BSH operation effectively from
scratch a great experience.
